For inquirers to become catechumen:

To become Orhtodox Christian, if you are coming from any other confession, it is a process that it might take years of preparation, from the developing the spiritual life, as learning about the Orthodox Theology. We highly encourage you to come and visit us, learn and discern. Be patient in this process! Nothing is going to be done overnight! We highly suggest you to attend our Bible Study classes, that usually take places, each Tuesday at 7PM (however, check with us the schedule). Materials that are prepared carefully and supervised by the priest, are avalaible upon request! Father Alexander, being from Romania and an credle Orthodox christian, has resources for the Bible Study and he translates old theological books into English, books prepared by Doctors in Theology.

We highly encougrage you to be aware of so many internet resources... some perhaps aren't what is supposed to be! It is good to have social media and to have a first touch with the Orthodox Faith, but also that isn't enough! We do not become Orthodox using only social media, nor other AI services. We use what we received as tradition from our Holy Fathers and the Church teachings. Becoming orthodox, without attending church services, isn't going to be possible. The sacrifice that we as future orthodox christian must do, is a big one! However, with patience, with dedication and with willing to learn properly, we can achieve all these points. Of course, learning to pray and adapting us to the new life as orthodox inquirers. Once you step in the process to become catechumen, you must get rid off of the old phronema (theological ideas) of your old theologically background! You can't become orthodox, bringing your own ideas into what the Church already has established through the teachings!

Father Alexander always states: "that the life of an Orthodox Christian is nothing, without prayer!" Instead of spending hours and hours on social media, better spend time in prayer and asking God for wisdom to be granted in your process of learning everything about Orthodoxy!

The process to become even catechumen, could take a good period of time! The process became more intense, due to so many people who really did not understood the process and stepped out. Althought is not an apostasy, due that you are not yet baptized, but still a leak of respect towards the community, to the priest and to everyone involved in this process!

If you are interested, please contact us, and we will be happy to guide you in this process!

Come, join us and experience the life of the Orthodox Christian, in prayer, in learning and observing the teachings of the Church!

God bless you!
